Sunshine Cowgirl here, soaking up the Florida rays.
My name is Janell Wheeler.
I love my last name. I always said I would keep it when I get married. Either that or tattoo it on me somewhere. We will play that one by ear. As you can see I am a singer and writer. I dance and act too. Music has been my passion since the moment I could wiggle to dance and hum to sing. I suck at math. Always have, always will. I am not a tom boy, but I do hang out with the guys. I wish that I was good at sports and admire people who are. I will try almost anything once and I love being social and busy. I wear flip flops year round, but I also strut around in heels as often as possible. I try my very best to remain positive. No one can be happy ALL the time, but it is important to pick your battles. If I have learned anything, its that. I am extremely close with my family. They are everything to me. I am so lucky to have such supportive parents and friends, and I am so grateful for everything and everyone in my life…including you!

I think I finally found my little niche. As many of you know, (because you are my friends, my inspiration) I have been wavering between so many different styles of music, just trying to find my way. I have been classically trained, then fell in love with a guitar, studied musical theatre, and then choreographed my way into the wonderful world of hip hop, progressed into progressive, befriended some of the best house djs on this planet, all the while keeping my pop essence. It has been quite a journey, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. So where have I ended up? I like to call it Country, Pop, Soul, Glam, Fun…pretty much just me. I feel that all of my musical influences work together to create an original, refreshing take on country music. I have been writing music since second grade, always wanting to be a country singer. So as I have tried out many styles, the one that always fit like my favorite pair of jeans was my country. It has been the only style that I have never grown out of, that I have never tired of, it was my favorite before it was cool to like. So I hope you enjoy and I thank you so much for the support.
